De La Soul - Ooh

The video wasn't that bad or anything...it just didn't live up to the absolutely sick song I'd listened to so many times.

Any Clash music video that isn't a live performance or Rock the Casbah. It's usually just live footage, interview footage, and studio footage that isn't all that interesting in a music video. Sign of the times though.

Hardest Button to Button by the White Stripes too I guess. I had kind of a literal vision of the song in my head, then they do stop motion in the music video. It was a cool video, but not what I imagined.

What about Radio Clash? It was footage, but still.. When they're dancing around on the wall...

I found a video for Train in Vain a few years ago which wasn't The Clash playing live or anything. The story-line went like this:

-Girl works at strip club
-Boyfriend doesn't like
-Girl and boyfriend start beating each other on the stairs
-Guys at strip club are oogling over girl
-Boy gets pissed and starts fucking shit up

It could very well be fake, but I could've sworn when watching it there's a shot of Joe and Mick in the strip club.

Would anyone like to clarify?

Sounds like it could be cut together from the film Rude Boy.

I haven't watched it in a while so I'm not sure about the details in it.

Swear to gawd i just watched this about 20 minutes ago before ever seeing this thread! Was poking around youtube looking for Art Of Noise videos and found this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fUPCYZzd4o) for "Moments In Love" one of my favorite tracks by them. I had never seen the video & happily hit the link for it.......SUCKY! I know AON isn't conventional but this really stank IMO. Moments is such a cool chillout tune and still regualrly listen to it (I own four of their albums) and to make it worse though I know they couldn't use it, the actual track is more than 10 minutes long - this edited version won't give you the steady build-up of the original.

This AON track, "Close To The Edit" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-FNg0c1-74), has a lot better video.

I can't think of one off the top of my head, usually it's the opposite. The song slightly interests me then the video sells it.

Maybe Bruce Springsteen Videos....I could never figure why he chose such corny plots for his great songs. Brilliant Mistake would of been fucking fantastic and over the top if the camera lens cracked on his nose at the end....

I'll get back to ya...
