i'm enjoying sitting at the enquiries desk of 'my' library so i can FANNY about on the internet for a couple of hours and avoid doing any actual real work. most of the time.
i am also enjoying the prospect of my boyfriend putting money into my account so i can actually eat something nice when i get home from my 8 hour shift and before i start another 8 hour shift tomorrow. grr.
i actually think he may be slyly trying to surprise me by travelling down today to see me, but that would be stupid because i'll have to go to work at 1130 tomorrow and we'll only have a few hours together. och well.
EDIT: wow. that's a lot of actuallys.

academic libraries are actually quite busy. not today though for some reason, students must not be fucked with the weather.
i honestly believe the most eccentric bunch of people on earth habitate libraries. iz true. especially the older people who seem to live here. buncha crazies!

libraries are cool. they have books n shit lo,ol! but seriously i do like em. my local library is a bit crappy though. doesnt have many good books and it's in the same building as an art gallery and it smells like art.

man that's way less cosy than i imagined. libraries are supposed to be old buildings that are cosy and smell of the queen's armpits.

last weekend a reader (mild aspbergers - sp - we think) actually said "do you want to start a fight with me?" when i couldn't understand why he was allowed so many books out and was about not to check them out for him. i was like FUCK YOU BRAH. not really. but it turns out he's called the police on us before! the police! in a library! a temple of thought and academia! happened a couple of times, actually. people get very precious about their books, i tell yah.
i think you're a level 10 boy, joe.
you can have a job. but it's gonna be a long commute yo!

I was thinking more along the lines of level 12 myself.
Should have fought him to the death, nastee. To die for books, what a waste of a life. He would have seen the error of his ways.
