if a team loans a player out, does that team just pay the players salary, or does the loaning team get some sort of bonus too? how does that whole scheme work?

Most of the time the new team pays the salary, which the old team can "save" for other things. I say most of the time cause, these things are done on a case to case basis. Taxes play heavily into this cause of those quarter annual reports and stuff. You thinking anyone specific?

yeah, i'm thinking chelsea's gonna sell off sheva and get crespo back at the end off the season. i dont know much much game play crespo has been getting at inter milan but with ibrahimovic and adriano i cant imagine he'd be starting every game

Chelsea is always in such a damn hurry. But english teams have a bigger squad than other countries too, Shev was the man in Italy, but a lot of players are having a hard time in their first Premier League season...

yeah it's a harder league, if not the hardest in the world. the spanish and italian leagues are just fancy footwork really. i was really hoping shev scored a sweet goal tonight. oh well. ballack and shev have been 2nd rate this season. if they stick around for another year they may go better. who knows

Yup, how come your a Chelsea fan? You are not related to Roman A., are you? Cause if I'd like to borrow some millions. Crespo is a bit off his rocker now IMO same as a lot of other World Cup players, Sorin, Cannavaro, etc. didn't really live up to their potential...

i've only been a football fan for a little over a year. the end of 2005 i was reading a book about Vladimir Putin and there was a part about Roman, and how his business partner got thrown in jail, and after that roman decided, 'fuck it, i'm gonna buy a soccer team'. i thought he was a mad cunt, so i figured i'd follow the team he bought. a couple of days later i asked my housemate "are chelsea any good?" and he just laughed. then i found out they were the premier league champions and the rest is history

(y) At least your not one of those success fans!
The Putin book any good? His KGB times seem very interesting. And I like his judo fetish. Troop inspection, oh well, lets just spar for a few throws...

Ooh, you were talking about the "other" football.
I was all like, loaning? When was the last time somebody got loaned in American football?

there's an entire thread for american football
otis, the putin book basically points out all his flaws, the Kursk submarine, the Nord Ost theatre siege, the Beslan terrorist siege, his views on iraq, mikhail khrodikovsy etc. it's a good book. to me it just a book on the amount of crap he's had to clean up after Yeltsin's reign. not much about his KGB life, it basically said he was nothing in the KGB, but if he's able to donate 10 million USD of gold to the restoration of the winter palace then yeah, i'd have to say his KGB life was nothing but dull

It's pretty up to date then, eh? Ah well, most of the people in Germany are like "Putin has to be a SOB cause Russia was in shambles after the fall of communism and because of the Mafia there". It's sad how the russian ambassador was on a talk-show here at the end of last year all moaning about how noone sees how Russia is trying to solve the murder of that reporter woman. Still nothing has happened and I don't suspect anything will... Guy who did is propably a former Speznaz who's wearing concrete shoes somewhere in Lake Baikal or whatever... Russians here are nice too know though, they don't fuck around and are sociable drinkers! The girls are sometimes a bit too serious, though...

yeah, russia is still in shambles but i'd rather putin then another retard like yeltsin. i'm not looking forward to 2008 tho. wouldn't surprise me if putin sets himself up to be president for life. that'll piss off the rest of the world. not too many russian's here, the majority of foreigners are asians and brazillians
