Yeah, I'm crazy for making the odd wrestling reference. But Bigs was a monster, and once saved a child from a burning building.
RIP
WWE.com has learned that former WWE Superstar Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow has passed away in Florida.
Kevin Doll, the Public Information Director for the Pasco County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Bigelow was found dead early this morning in his home in Hudson, Fla.
"We can confirm that Scott Bigelow was found in his home this morning. At this time the cause of death is unknown," Doll told WWE.com.
Doll also confirmed that the Pasco-Pinellas Counties medical examiner has taken the body and an autopsy will be performed.
Bigelow, 45, worked for WWE, ECW and WCW extensively throughout his 20-year sports-entertainment career. A former ECW Champion, ECW Television Champion and WCW Tag Team Champion, he is perhaps best known for his rivalry with Lawrence Taylor that culminated in the main event of WrestleMania XI in 1995.
Stay tuned to WWE.com as more on Bigelow's passing becomes available.

Aw, shame! RIP Bam Bam. Vinnie didn't have a clue how to get him over, but like many other wrestlers he was huge in Japan and other countries round the globe :(

Wrestlers don't live very long, not surprisingly. I heard he was into some nasty drugs though years back. You can't run away from your past.

The police are treating this like a crime scene, which is odd. If anything I thought it'd be a drug overdose or a suicide.
The best I can remember Bam Bam was from WCW when he was in the Jersey group and when he was feuding with Goldberg. Good times.

You could make one hell of a movie outta the last drug-addled days of Miss Elisabeth with Lex Luger.
Jake The Snake is still the best in my book!

Some dirt-sheet writer is reporting that Scott Hall needs to be contacted by authorities, and is nowhere to be found.

Look at where Scott Hall and Kevin Nash have gone in the last year. Total opposites.
Nash is brilliant and Hall is a junkie. Just shows you the power of being sober.

I think Hall or someone was talking about how 15 years ago, that particular generation were all messed up on drugs, or partied and popped painkillers a bit too much. He said you don't see it now. Ironically it's causing stars (see The Rock) to leave much quicker. HBK was all fucked up on painkillers for a long time, and he came out of it, though. Kurt Angle is someone in the current crop who could barely function without medication.

Such an important icon in this country's history.
He can never be replaced.
RIP Bam Bam.
I'll remember him for his crazy stunts in Extreme Championship Wrestling. The match he had with Tazz years ago was awesome - two powerhouses giving it their all, in destructive ways.
Besides the Ultimate Warrior he had the best costume ever.

How is everybody doing today about this? Are we all ok? Still mourning? Maybe remembering the happier times with Bam?

I noticed flags are still at half stance. Is it still for Cherald Ford?
I heard it was for Barney Miller.

thats right. MY internet.
In a related story.....Deuce Bigalow male gigolo fell into a huge vagina and suffocated. He is survived by his mother Ginger who was heard to say---I told Deuce to carry a couple of 2X4s to strap on when he visited Bertha. She is a real whore.

He was a good wrestler. Moved well for a big man. Always one of my favorites.
The work schedules for wrestlers has drastically shrunk since the Hogan and Attitude Era, so here's hoping to a steady decline of wrestlers dying young.
I spit on him at an event when I was little. True story.:(
OK, you have drawn out some stories of my High Scool days of working wrestling matches in Harrisonburg Virginia.
I used to meet the wrestlers when the arrived, take them drinks in the locker room and take their belts and robes after they entered the ring. I got to meet such greats as.....Ricky Steamboat, Igor, Andre the Giant, Ric Flair, Blackjack Mulligan, Ivan Koloff, the Iron Sheik, Jimmy Superfly Snuka, etc, etc.
One story...I took some water and coca cola into the locker room and asked if anyone needed any drinks. Andre the Giant looked at me like I was crazy and snarled---I don't need any mixer and grabbed a bottle of Jack Daniels and downed it straight out of the bottle.
Another story...Blackjack Mulligan was wrestling Ric Flair and blood was all over Mulligan's face. After the match I saw him put some bloody razor blades in the garbage and wash his face clean as a whistle other than a fresh cut which he treated with vaseline and some band aids.
Spitting story....Ivan Koloff held a belt and was hated because in the early 1980s we still loved to hate the Russian commies. People were booing and cussing. He was all would up and when I went to retrieve his belt he started yelling--you dirty American!!! You will steal my belt!!! Then he shot a huge amount of spit in my direction. I could not dodge the spit which hit me on the chest and chin. He would not give me his belt. Later, in the locker room he came up to me and put his arm around my neck and said in a thick Russian accent...no hard feelings my boy....it is all part of show business.
I have more but those are some highlights.

I remember when Bam Bam showed up in WCW and brawled with Goldberg non-stop for like a month. I specifically remember when, during one these brawls, Scott Hall showed up FOR NO REASON and started laughing in Bam Bam's face. That led to Bigelow throwing Hall into a soda machine and beating the crap out of him! I always loved that!
And his match against Lawerence Taylor at WrestleMania XI was much better than it had any right to be. It's the Hulk/Andre of celebrity wrestling matches.
