All the bitches who said you'd never make it?

Why do people keep playing the "NOBODY THOUGHT WE'D DO IT!" card? YOU WERE THE NUMBER ONE SEED IN THE PLAYOFFS!

Number one seed of the playoffs! That means this was expected of you!

Anyway, now that the boring JV Championship game is over, we can watch the Varsity AFC Championship.

That was the biggest piece of shit playoff game ever called by any ref. Only one penalty against Chicago when I saw many penalties that weren't called. Something smells fishy to me.

Yeah, if I cared about the game at all, I'd be pissed that the Saints got calls like that offensive pass inteference call and the Bears got hardly no penalities at all.

Plus, having every Bears player whining to the referee about the safety call and eventually having the referee overturn it was mind blowing. I hate when players whine about calls to officials in the NFL.

None of you are old enough to remember the original superbowl shuffle. Someone needs to post that on you tube.

There's nothing as stupid as gimmicky sports promotions.

I'm not much of a football fan, nor do I really know how to play it, but I've become increasingly interested in learning the basics, at least. I enjoy seeing the excitement of others around me, especially considering how long it's been since the Bears have gotten this far.

Yeah... i remember the Super Bowl shuffle. The SuperBowl was in N.O. that year. Jim McMahon called the women of N.O. "easy"...hahaha.

I just got back from the game. Rex pretty much sucked, he got lucky a few times...and if it wasn't for the Bears defense. Ahhh...fuck it.

Rex turned it on in the second half. He got you to the Super Bowl for Pete sake.

He didn't get me to the Super Bowl. My order of allegiance is Saints, then Colts, then Bears.

The only way I'll root for the Bears is if the Pats beat the Colts.

I felt like the 85 team was made up of headcases. But that was probably just McMahon. :p

How was the vibe in the stadium? How crazy was the crowd?

You should at least be happy that a Chicago team whose mascot is a member of the bear family actually wins games in the playoffs.

It feels like YESTERDAY to me. It was all "ditka ditka ditka" on our sports radio shows every morning.

Where did the 1990s go???

I have to give it to the Bears. They're good. Probably the best safety callers in the league. Hands down!

Oddly enough in those Coors commercials the two coaches, Mora and Ditka, are both former Saints coaches.

You better enjoy it while you can. You know, until you realize that the Bears are an NFC team and will, without a doubt, get pimp smacked at the Super Bowl. Not so much because the Colts are great, cuz they aren't, but because the AFC owns the Super Bowl. The worst AFC team would easily hand it to the Bears.

EXCUSE ME.

I was 5 in 85 and let me tell you...if you were alive at any age and from Chicago the time that the '85 Bears went down in history, your parents had the 45 of the superbowl shuffle and played it religiously. I was raised on Cubs and Bears.

No, I just thought your post needed an ending like that.

I've known about the Superbowl Shuffle for at least 15 years and I live nowhere near Chicago.

Parcells just retired. Now Jerry Jones or Terrell Owens can coach the Cowboys.

I went to a halloween party at an old mansion a couple of years ago and they had a creepy room in the basement with cobwebs and a strobe light and a little t.v. in the middle, playing the superbowl shuffle over and over. ha ha, it ruled!

I do remember the superbowl shuffle. I grew up in denver, people were football-crazy in the mid-80's. John Elway came to my elementary school once.

I missed the game, I wasn't feeling very well. I watched the second game though, with those other teams, patriots and colts. ya. my high school team was the patriots and I drove a plymouth colt...so I tell thee true, I had a dilly of a time choosing who to root for.

List of AFC teams I'm sure the Bear beat on a neutral field:

NY Jets
Buffalo
Pittsburgh
Cleveland
Tennessee
Houston
Kansas City
Oakland

List of AFC teams that the Bear can't beat on a neutral field if they play the way they played yesterday:

I'm all over The Bear + 7 if you want to make another friendly wager.

I was in 5th grade when that shit came out. My brother and I used to switch verses and fight over who got to wear the sunglasses and headband and be the funky QB. 10 Effen & Sprites and 4 shots yesterday and I still had that shit down.

Everyone can fuck right off because I said the Colts would beat the Pats. Peyton Manning has finally proven that he can lead a team to victory in the playoffs. Now, he has to finish the job and beat the Bears, which may not be an easy task.

Anyways I'm going to enjoy my team making the Super Bowl for the next two weeks, rubbing it into every Patriots fan I can find. I know that by halftime they were all over me saying Peyton is going to choke, well when the game was over a lot of them had to immediately leave the pub to save face, but I found them.
