Would the Beasties ever play the Super Bowl if they were offered a spot on the halftime show? That would be awesome. I didn't think it was possible until they gave Prince the spot this year.
Furthermore, would they want to play at the Super Bowl half time show? I know they're Mets fans, but do they follow football?

I'm gonna go as far to say that it's almost an impossibility that the beasties would bless the super bowl half-time show. it seems a bit too commercial and contrived for their tastes, if you ask me. not that I think the halftime show is shallow or nothing, but I feel it's a bit of a sellout gig considering you gotta cram a bunch of (probably sponsor-forced) hits into like ten minutes in an over the top production for a largely indifferent crowd. it lacks the honor and integrity of a repectable performance.
furthermore, I doubt the beasties would be near the top of the list for such an event anyhow.
then again, who knows; the check is undoubtedly a ludicrous amount of cash.

I don't think Prince was exactly in demand before being named this years half time show artist.
Maybe I'm being overly optimistic since I'm a Prince fan too.

Songs being played during recaps/replays at the Super Bowl is more likely.
Im satisfied with that alone. (y) :D

Hey that's a great question but I think it has a simple answer. One of the other threads said it and that is the Super Bowl would be a 'sell-out' gig. I don't know if the Boys would identify it as that but it doesn't seem to fit there political and commercial overtones. The Superbowl carries with it the 'play hard or go home' philosophy and the beefed up in your face promotion of an organization yada yada...but it would be hilarious to see what kind of outfits they'd be wearing on stage. Referees' outfits would be hilarious. Anyways they're schedule already has them in Australia and Singapore the next two months.

I wouldnt call them sell outs if they performed. I mean, its a "performance", not a "commercial." Theyre not trying to sell anything. Sure, they are performing so the stations ratings are high and the station can charge X amount of dollars to advertisers but they arent selling out in any way, shape or form by performing.
