When did you file?

I filed electronically on... the 16th, I think it was. Supposedly, today was the first day refunds would go out. But I didn't think it would be processed already.

Check irs.gov (http://www.irs.gov/). It'll tell you when to expect your refund. Mine was guaranteed by the 30th.

So.... December? You have to file by when, and it takes how long to get a refund?

Here, we file between January 1 and April 15 (April 17 this year).

i'm about to start negotiations with my baby daddy to see if he'll let me claim one on our taxes. it makes a $495 difference to me. however, it may help him more to claim both so maybe i'll let him do that and then he can throw me a few hundred bucks. technically i'm supposed to pay him child support (it's a right of the child, not the parent, and each is supposed to contribute in proportion to income and amount of time spent in the home) but he doesn't make me. then again, he's supposed to pay for their insurance but i cover them at my work since it's free to me through the state.

it would probably actually be fairer of me to let him claim both and then have him give me half the $495.

dunno. what do you guys think? keep in mind he's not a dick.

I filed yesterday. I claimed my school from spring '06 and I got a nice chunk of change for that. But I was right, my dentist didn't take out the right amount for the year and that was deducted from my overall refund. Bleh.

On the upside, I'm getting over a thousand back...which is going straight back into school. But still, more than what I had budgeted!
