A bunch of people beat the crap out of this guy and he was taken to the trauma center with a three foot pole stuck in his head.

Now, I can imagine a lot of things, but at what point in your life you're angry enough to play javelin with some man's skull, I wouldn't know. Dang.

We also had a woman missing for a few days who was found in her car trunk. And they think it was a suicide. Weird place to kill yourself. Woman was an MIT prodigy who already had two patents at age 23.

What else... 65 year old woman fought off a mountain lion who was chomping on her husband's head.... Bad day for heads in the south bay, I reckon. Yow.

sometimes you wish you could just unhear stuff like that. some kid got jumped by about 5 teenagers at the train station that i use to get home from school every day. happened at 8:30, too, sometimes i leave around then. so i've been taking the bus more, i don't like the bus so much

Yeah, it's pretty nasty. And that sucks about the kids at the train station. It sucks to feel like you have to be defensive just as a matter of course.

The morning bus stop I go to is close to our jail, and it amazes me how many people will gladly tell you they just got sprung from being held overnight. yeah, great, I really want to hear that. No, I don't have money for bus fare, sorry.

You might remember a while back I had a friend who went missing for almost five days and that's where they found her...locked in the trunk of her car. It's a little confusing as to what happened...we think she intended to kill herself with over the counter sleeping pills and for some reason she climed in her trunk. or maybe she just got really groggy from the pills and wanted someplace dark to lie down. at anyrate she woke up in the trunk at somepoint and didn't remember why she was in the trunk and started banging on it to be let out. eventually some one heard her and the police came. she was dehydrated and diabetic so she was lucky she didn't die..though I think she sorta wanted to.

point being...unstable girls that live in california apparently think car trunks are the in place to commit suicide.

God, I had forgotten about her. I hope she's getting some help. I'm sure her friends and family are hugely relieved; that would be scary, to have someone just vanish...

yeah she moved away. her mother came and got her and took her to thier home state, where she is supposedly receiving treatment. I haven't heard anything from her or about her in a while. :(

my roommate heard something on NPR about the cops finding a box full of body parts in our neighborhood. :(

I still can't find anything online about it though. I never can. it's like murders and shady shit happen, but nobody reports it.

also, I saw a billion fire trucks racing to a fire right by my work when I was waiting for my bus tonight. good thing my bus came before they blocked off the area. the internet said it was a 2-11 alarm fire? what does that mean?

Some guy in australia this week was eaten head first by a great white shark, and when half his body was inside the shark he had the good thought to reach round and poke the shark in the eye with his free hand (the other was inside the shark with him) and the shark recoiled and he got away.
