The lyrics only, of course. I would think it's too long and it wouldn't really be worth it to start over from the beginning if they messed up on Lay It On Me or something. The only thing is that I actually downloaded a demo version of the song and they went through the entire thing with a very basic drum machine beat in the background.

So did they stand at their mics and record a 12 minute track or was each segment recorded separately?

I was so glad that the Beastie Boys came out with a follow up album to Licenced to Ill. I don't know for certain but I would practically think that the B-Boy Bouillabaise was a collection of recordings all grouped together one next to the other, or all jumbled up and "stewed together" in order to make one good song. A bouillabaise is a stew commonly made with fish stock and contains a variety of fish to comprise the entire meal...sometimes up to twelve different kinds...nuff said. I disliked replaying the song because you had to listen to entire array of songs just to get to the "3 Pack Bonanza"...her breast I saw, I reached, I felt, M-O-N-E-Y, the belt. I stay at home, just like a hermit, I got the jimmy but I don't got the permit". And then it built up to the chorus of " I am the holder of the 3 Pack bonanza, if you open the book then you will get your hand smacked...", beautiful. Man, I have been listening to the Boys for twenty years now and they are without a doubt my saviours, my inspiration, my adolescence, my humor, my love, no doubt man. I gotta go and see em in concert again.

I wish they released this as a separate EP before Pauls Boutique, its such a sick mishmash of great tunes.....

I cant imagine it was recorded at the same time. That would make them the greatest M.C.s of all time.On second thought maybe it was.

I think the highlights of the track are Stop That Train, Hello Brooklyn, and Lay It On Me.
