bought the first set

don't have HBO so can't watch current episodes.

I like it. A lot like the Office, obviously, in many ways.

Ben Stiller: Do you know who I am?
Andy: Either Starsky or Hutch, I can't remember.
Ben Stiller: Is that supposed to be funny?
Andy: You were in it. You tell me.

The second series was dire; Almost unwatchable, you might say.

Stiller's good, he just seems to pick lots of crappy movies to be in.

Like AIFST. :D

I thought this was gonna be about how Mr Films needs people for a movie he's making.

I thought it was about additional DVD features.

That's bad news about the second series. I love the first season (got it on dvd as we missed the T.V slot). Kate Winslet in a nun's habit, smoking and saying: "I'm fudding myself stupid and I'm bloody loving it.." was joy.

the 2nd series has its moments. the Daniel RedCliffe episode is bloody hilarious.

best thing about extras is that you dont feel so awkward when you watch it like the office

Man. I just watched disc one last night.

It was okay, but nothing like the inspired genius of The Office.

Disc two comes today. I'm sure I'll finish it, but so far...

C. :(

That's exactly what I don't like about it. I don't mind "gentle," but this is almost toothless.

I gotta say the episode with Bowie is the best of the lot...

"little fat man..."

Him flipping that sparkling water bottle and opening it while talking to that bird was funny as fuck.

I think the only time when I chuckled out loud during the three shows was during Bowie's song -- at one moment, he kind of looks back
and tests a lyric and someone suggests something that's spot on and it totally clicks for him. It seemed genuine, it looked like
songwriting sometimes is, and the blatant disregard for fatty there was beautiful.

I think that was overall the strongest episode in that season; him preferring the fuckatron and company to the in-crowd was alright by me.

He's making a movie (http://www.rickygervais.com/thissideofthetruth.php). I'm sure you probably knew. I don't know. Maybe you didn't, and this was all worth it.

No, I didn't. I know he was just in something... can't remember what it was. But I didn't know about this.

That's kind of funny. I once wrote a poem where Cain tells the first lie, and Adam starts to realize this original sin stuff is going to spiral...

Jason Bateman is in it. I always thought Michael Bluth was very David Brent-ish at times. Like when Gob is on his office couch crying about the C.D and he says to Michael "I can't believe you love it. Look at us, crying like a pair of girls!" and Michael replies "Weeeellll.....you're crying". What was I saying? Oh yeah, they'd be a good match I think.

I always thought Bateman was channeling the confident Albert Brooks. Their delivery is identical.

Fucked if I'd know, to be honest.
