i knew she hasn't been in the greatest of health in recent years, but i was really surprised when i learned about her passing this morning. we've lost an extraordinary progressive voice, who wasn't afraid to call out republican-lite democrats, and simply told it like it is. i picked up one of her books three years back, 'bushwhacked', which was a fascinating read and insight into shrub's domestic agenda.
