Is anyone stoked that they are reforming? I bloody am!

I wonder if the rhyme and reason tour will ever take place now?

I there is a god please make it so!(y)

I used to think Ozzy doing the Sabbath show would be a good thing, too. It was ok. That's the best I expect here, too.
Like Prodigy, Rammstein or Eminem, I loved RATM when I first heard it. One or two years of heavy rotation later it was just ...ok, blah, whatever.
Now, Jello reuniting with DK, that'd get me excited...

Ah memories I can recall how stoked I was over the rhyme and reason tour and how I considered suicide when it got cancelled....I've seen RATM live before and I'd pay to see it again

I though Coachella was just a one-off performance.

I don't think they're getting back together.

I read it's definitely not a one-off, and there are more shows planned. Whether or not it's a fully fledged reformation - new album etc - remains to be seen. I doubt it'll go that far. Personally, I have my fingers crossed for a Beasties/Rage headline slot at Reading.

if RATM did a tour of australia, even if they planned 5 shows in each city they would still sell out in minutes.

I liked Evil empire, and the first one. But I said my goodbyes to them long ago.

Has anyone heard anything concrete about this yet? Like an actual planned tour...

Tom Morello said they weren't ruling out further dates.

To me, this sounds like they're playing it by ear. They'll do Coachella, and see how they're feeling it after that.

Personally I predict a few more dates after Coachella, if not a tour. I'm going to be ticked if they play a few miles away from me, after I made the trip down to CA...

they are now doing 3 more dates... San Bernadino, San Fran and NYC... for the Rock The Bells tour or somethin. dates are around for it...

it'd be cool if they played reading and leeds. but they won't. nor the easties.

smashing pumpkins are one of the headliners. interpol and the manic street prechers are playing too.

Audioslave (gay) is no more. Cornell apparently quit to work on a solo album (gay) after Rage decided to reunite for Coachella.

I'm with Kid P on this pretty much. I like their music, but they kinda fell on the back burner for me over the years, especially with their last few albums.(n)

I never had the chance to see Rage, soooo......whatever.

A friend of mine's uncle is allegedly tight with Zack. He used to go to protests with him apparently. He claims Zack is bankrupt, so he's doing the shows.

Sounds made up to me. But this guy has no reason to lie. Who knows.

Wu-Tang Clan will perform 1/3 or 2/3 of a new song, maybe.

Hey, we've got a guy who sounds like Alladin when he hasn't gotten any pussy.

Oh and yeah, we've got a guy who doesn't just play guitar but he makes it sound like a cat getting gang raped by a pack of waterbuffalos. Over and over, almost on every track!! Yay!!

Seriously, they were a one hit, maybe 4 hit wonder band as well as Audioslave.

The video for Sleep now in the Fire is exactly what I would aspire to if anyone were ever making a video of any of my songs. It was pretty much perfect.

New lyrics from ZDLR are desperately needed ASAP.

They already toured together back in the days. I think in 1997.

EDIT: Yep. 1997. Check this out. (http://www.allposters.com/-sp/Wu-Tang-Clan-and-Rage-Against-the-Machine-Rolling-Stone-no-768-September-1997-Posters_i2063675_.htm)

RATM is the only band that isn't in my top five that I can safely say there isn't a single song of theirs that I dislike. of their three albums and countless othet b-sides, unreleased tracks, they don't skip a single breath or take any shorts. they were a very consistent and dependable rock machine. not to mention frighteningly original.
