Hello everyone,
As you guys may have noticed, I have some hair issues. Actually, I'm practically bald. And everyone who knows me tells me that.
So anyway, what do I do to have volume (more hair)?? Please?? It sucks to be nearly bald.:(
I know I'm supposed to eat the right vitamins for the hair, but does that really work?? Maybe it would take decades to work.
Do you guys have any great suggestion? Other than getting implants, of course!!:p

maybe if you look at what can cause hair loss in women, you'll be able to figure out how to slow the loss.
apparently, the most common cause of hair loss is hormone changes. so, pregnancy or starting/stopping birth control could be a cause. did you recently start taking the pill? if so, you could maybe switch to a lower dose or switch to a different form of birth control. other causes are eating disorders, severe stress, protein deficiency, products used on hair for coloring/perming, etc.
specific foods or vitamins won't regrow hair, but they're necessary for healthy hair. if you've always had thin hair and it looks thinner now and there's nothing new to attribute the loss to, get a root boost mousse and see if that helps a little.

Hey, thanks, Beth!
But no, I'm not taking the pill. I've always been a bit bald and also my hair is way too thin. There are some periods of my life that I lost hair, but sometimes nothing of this happens. I have lots of short short hair underneath it. It grows way too slow too. Oh well.:/

hah, randy. :p
my hair is naturally thick because of my heritage and all. but i did notice that when i started consistently taking b vitamins - specifically a b-complex and 5mg (which is a lot) of biotin for a scalp condition i have - it got even thicker and fuller.
i'd also suggest not shampooing every day. i do it maybe every 2 or 3 days. it's much better for your hair and scalp. and definitely avoid the coloring like beth said. it puts a lot of stress on it.
