I was big into this in like 1995. Tatum and Gareth might remember the most unlikely of Channels (One) played it late on Friday nights.
Well, I found the complete series on DVD and it's fucking funny. Good times.

I got the series for Christmas in 2005. I love it. Franklin's the best.

Thank you for reminding me about this. I've heard good things and will go add it to my queue. (y)

The first episode is pretty shit, and I can't recall ever having seen it. But the rest I likey. Although, some of the references are simultaneously clumsy/obscure.

So what disc do you recommend? I don't know how many seasons it lasted.

I bought the complete series, but it's only 3 discs. It had a fairly long first season (the number escapes me) and a comparatively short second season. So it's a good deal.
edit: Oh right, you're on a Netflix type thing? Try disc two of Season 1.

There are two things I always forget to ask for when Christmas rolls around every year. One would be The Critic on dvd and the complete catalogue of Far Side cartoons I found somewhere online. Dammit!

Pretty massive.
The complete Calvin and Hobbes, too.(y)
Pretty massive.
That's what she said. God, I'm watching The Office waaaaaay too much. Anyway, yeah, it is pretty big, but if I remember correctly, it's only a few hundred dollars, which is well worth it IMO.

I think it was around here for about $125.
Costco had the Calvin and Hobbes for $75 and I could kill myself for not getting it. :(
i own all the smaller calvin and hobbes collections, except for maybe one
i remember loving the critic when i was younger, closer to when it was on the air, and when repeats would show on tv at like 3 am. but i picked up the DVD a year or two ago and i dunno, i didn't find it as enchanting as i seemed to remember it being.

I know. I can't either.:( But I do remember the episode where they try to get the old lady that works on the set of the show to stop smoking and when they yank a cig out of her mouth, one automatically keeps popping out with a cash register sound effect.:D

Was this the thing with the guy that made a cross over with the simpsons? And it annoyed Matt Groening so much he took his name off the credits?
If so, then I remember watching this on the paramount channel when I was about 10 years old. Not really having much clue what was going on.
