Well, that's it - tomorrow I'm officialy drafting to the IDF, and will begin my service to the country as a soldier!
Finally the day arrives, so long after all my friends, they drafted months ago.

So tomorrow I will begin a 4-week "bootcamp".
Wish me luck and stuff...


oh and you don't have to worry about me, i am not designated to be a fighter or warrior of some sort, i am destined to the human resources directorate.
it's kind of an office job, and i will get to go back home every night, which is why soldiers like me are called jobnicks,
as oppose to soldiers that see real action such as the infantry corps, fighter plane pilots, the armor corps and so on.

Well, good luck to you. It's a very crappy time to join the military but in Israel, it's mandatory isn't it?

Isn't it kind of false advertising though? I mean, how many people signed up thinking they were going to a camp to see various styles of boots only to realize they have to wear aching combat boots and have boots shoved up their asses?
