Should deserve it's own thread in case people don't see it in G.Day's thread.

Here's what I wrote:

Venom (http://comicsmedia.ign.com/comics/image/article/755/755091/venom-20070112104115050-000.jpg) is in Spider-man 3.

Walkie-Talkies (http://www.kbtoys.com/hiresPop.html/productType/toys/graphicName/992492C.jpg/GW/500/GH/500)

And...

This (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v622/hong_kong_lad/venom2.jpg), as well as this. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v622/hong_kong_lad/venom1.jpg)

Some toys have the spider symbol more prominent and others don't, but htis is what he is supposed to look like in the new film. Some think he is wearing spandex. Possibility.

/nerd.

There's also a trailer with Venom in it for a split second.

Pause it at 0:25. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpnPlYWY1Dg)

So, I get nerdy when it comes to Topher Grace.

Wasn't that Bobby Peru? Whatshisname, guy who plays the Green Goblin.

I dunno. Supposedly, the first time you see Venom in the movie full-teethed and all is when Peter Parker and his landlord are having an argument, and Venom attacks the landlord.

I know diddly zippidy doo doo about Venom, so I don't know how this figures in.

I thought Harry was the Goblin...

Willem Dafoe, thats his name. Bobby Peru is my fave role of his in Wild at Heart. I thought he let his son & Peter live in that flat/loft in part 1, but I could be mistaken.
Venoms origin is decidedly ugh, when Spiderman returns from Outer Space his costume gained a consciousness, was examined by Reed Richards, then broke free and overpowered ... some guy. (n)

Yeah, I've read about that stuff. It seems pretty stupid to me, like they were really reaching too far in making that character. But the fanboys seem to go nuts about Venom, so I dunno.

Yeah, see, that just sounds dumb.

:D Too truly appreciate the mighty Marvel crappiness consider what Secret Wars was about. Namely all Marvel hero fighting each other. In space. Cause some very powerful guy created for this purpose wanted it. Marvel fanboys got their wish and one of the crappiest crossovers ever was printed.

*shrugs*

I've heard dumber (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crisis_on_Infinite_Earths).

Fair enough.

I mean, why do I bitch when this other guy gets to climb walls because he's been bitten by a radioactive spider?

I dunno. I guess I somehow make that leap. But Venom's story sounds... it doesn't sound like it's really part of Spiderman's universe or something. Hopefully they make it work in the movie.

I think Vulture would have made a good villian in the movies.

I liked how they handled Doc Ock right up until his turnabout at the end, which whiffed of bullshit.
