I bailed out of math as soon as I had enough requirements.
I've never used algebra or algebra 2 in my (real) life. I've used geometry precisely once.

i think i just took this class to prove something to myself. mostly that im crazy. im just gonna suck it up and get me some extra help from the department. I WILL ACE THIS CLASS, EVEN IF I HAVE TO SHED BLOOD AND TEARS TO DO SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where do you think you are? I suggest going on Moby's message board.

I'm taking finite math right now. It's all a bunch of fucking nonsense.
i took a day of calculus in college. i needed a math credit, i figured, i did it in high school, how hard could it be here? the first day of class was a "quick" review of the "basic" principles of advanced algebra or something like that. i was lost in about 5 minutes. my notes consisted of some scribblings that looked vaguely like numbers and number-related signs, and also a picture of a pirate saying "yarrr, yer equations be differentiatin'"
dropped it as soon as i got home
my suggestion is to not waste your time with calculus if you don't need it
i have a theory about these advanced maths. i think it's all just an ever evolving system of prestigious mathematicians trying to bullshit each other. none of it actually has any basis in any kind of reality, it's all just imaginary shit made up to be as complicated as it can be for the sake of being complicated. mathematicians sit in their studies all day, trying to invent new forms of fake math, so when they go to the math conferences or whatever it is that those nerds do, they can get up at the chalkboard and explain their "discoveries". and of course none of the other nerds in the audience is willing to admit that they don't get it, or suggest that it doesn't make any sense, they just smile and nod in agreement, and that's how math advances. it stopped being real at square roots, in my opinion
the trick is to fill the chalkboard with one equation. if you can't do that, you get laughed off the stage. and it's horrible too, because they're those disgusting gaspy nerd laughs, thousands of them at once

I used calculus today.
I was calculating areas under curves in the morning, and differentiating in the afternoon. Except, this stuff doesn't get graded, so I hope I did it right. My answers seemed reasonable enough, though.
i've been taking it since september, so i know a few things.

Maybe she found a hot tutor or sumthing.
Get it, sumthing. Oh, nevermind.

By sumthing, do you mean she got a penis to go inside of her?
edit: Oh! I get it! Sumthing like the sum in math! Haha good one.

ok, can you teach me inverse functions? i know how to figure out one-to-one, but i dont know anything. and if f(x)=x+cos x, whats f-1(1)???????
thanks milleson!!!

I haven't sat in a classroom in about 7.5 years.
I feel so old.
for inverses, just interchange x with y, then solve for y. what you get is the inverse.
no idea what your last question was.

.
what do i do with the cos x?!?!?! i forgot!
dy/dx cos(u)= -sin(u) * du/dx ------------------------------> but dx/dx = 1

calculus is pretty easy.....it's the algebra that's hard.

Try 19 (I don't count traffic school). I can still add and subtract like a mad scientist.
