I woke up to a frozen pipes this morning, with a kitchen sink full of black smelly water. My lease is up in March...thinking about moving home to save some cash to buy a place instead of pissing my money away on rent.

So I call my bff in NY to tell her all this drama (she is currently in Houston for the next three months for work) she tells me to move to NY March-May because no one will be in her place and I could virtually live for free, aside from food and entertainment. Although I was looking for a new job and to get out of my apartment, is this too radical to do? If I'm going to be serious about continuing my career is just peacing out to live in NY for 3 months and work at some coffee shop a smart thing to do? Is it worth it? She does have a kick ass place on the upper west side.

The reality of it is I'd have to put all my stuff in storage (which would cost me) and hope that my P's wouldn't mind watching Jaxon for the next 3 months.

I'm all about being spontaneous, I'm 26, single, have nothing really holding me back, it could be a fun life experience no?

Someone tell me what to do, or talk some sense into me.

If it's some place in New York where you'd actually want to live, it sounds like manna from heaven.

If it's NYC, you HAVE TO GO. :D

Do it.
You probably will regret it later if you don't.
The only thing to consider is the job.....but you can always take off your clothes and give lap dances if you can't get back into the same career....as a last resort of course.

see, I don't want to live there, its too electric for me, it would just be for the three months. I'm having a hard time deceiding because I dont want to go into debt because of it, if I'm just living check to check...then when the three months are up have to come home and live with my P's till I find a job it really makes no sense. Eh...thinking too much, I should just go so I could spoon with Bionic.

who knows if you can ever do anything like this again. i know if my situation was different, I'd jump on that opportunity. So that means you should too.

you can poke fun now....but if you don't do it, you are gonna be all old with your husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend and be like...."ya know....I should have gone to NYC for that 3 months."

You can't move to NYC, I'll start running out of excuses as to why I can't hang out with you.

When they're once or twice a year, it's ok. But every weekend? I'l start running out of reasons.

Well, those are the only 4 that count. Although I'm a Long Island peep, not NYC, but close enough.

I think you should. Finding a job is pretty easy. I know I made a thread complaining that it took me forever to get one but only because I wanted to have one with no regrets. My phone was ringing off the hook with constant job offers though, just none that I was interested in.

Tons of stuff to do here too. There's gonna be mad parties on my roof when it gets warm as well.

Also, I heard the best apology here the other day, "Hey, fuck you. I'm sorry eh!!"

It's just a term I drunkenly made up a few weeks ago describing a friend that tries to plow chicks constantly. My friends and I haven't stopped saying it since.

One of them: what's up, skindog?
me: Skinnin' shit. U?
One of them: Shit.
me: Sweet.
