Three mornings in a row at about 3 a.m. now, I wake up and stumble into the bathroom to take a leak. Still asleep. Flush the toilet.........

BRRRRRRTTTTTTRR for like 10 minutes each time, my pipes will make the loudest and oddest noise. It sounds like the whole building is farting and I know it wakes up the neighbors. I flush the toilet just by instinct and I'm also still asleep so I forget about the pipes being frozen.

i don't think Canada has that problem. we must freezeproof our pipes.

the pipes froze at the tutoring place where I work because some jerkwad completely turned off the heat. idiots. now the walls are full of holes and the carpet is a disgusting mess.:mad:

That's odd for an older house. My building is brand new and it's strange for them to freeze up like that.

I'm thinking though.. Are they frozen? Is that what's causing that loud damn noise?

It has to be. It's cold but not that cold during the day. Still freezing but people are flushing the toilet more often and using water. At 3 am, nobody uses the water and haven't been for a few hours before that.

turn your sink on to somewhere between a drip and a small trickle. If you dont pay the water bill, who cares?
