I don't get how terrible poetry/prose is considered "in your face" politics, but to each his own I guess.

I was once offered forgiveness I put the words up on a shelf not thinking I was worthy, I was once offerd a prayer I passed it on to someone else for I knew it was in better hands, I was once given a chance but I fumbled it away not seizing the opportunity. I was once offered hope but as I reached it was pulled away.
