i still think el-p is more asshole-ish than kanye west and just a jackass overall but I finally heard the album and its really good. I had heard smithereens and flyentology a while ago and thought they were really crap but listening to the whole album beginning to end for some reason made those songs sound really good to me.

although i like the album very much, its kind of weird but with other stuff like a jay-z, beastie boys, or whatever you can just listen to the music and nod your head and like the beats and like lyrics. i know i'm simple and all but el-p's shit is on some complex material shit and its more than just the offbeat style. its like you have an appreciation of the work that was put in after you listen to it.

he's still an ass though.
