Cosmo and BeastieAngel both have Mexican parents. Does that count? I don't think they were actually born in Mexico, though.

yep.
also speaking of mexican food, I've been pouring tapatio on everything lately. Which makes sense for me and all but I mean REALLY pouring it, on everything. My intake has at least tripled and well I paid for it this morning and it hurt :( why must it taste so good. I thought I was immune to butthole pain anyway being mexican and all. Gah.

I knew a guy named Miguel who worked at Subway. I was never inside him, but I felt Mexican when he made my chicken teriyaki.

I'm honorary as mrs. marsdaddy is first generation and both of her parents are from Mexico. My father-in-law actually looks like the guy on the Tapatio bottle! And her Buelito once told me I made the tamales too hot because I added two jalapenos instead of his usual one.
Mookie is "mixed" or so I indicated on his kindergarten application.

My father (who's father is from Mexico) looks exactly like a young Saddam Hussein. Funny part is, I'm not even joking.

You guys raise an interesting question...
So all you half-breeds out there (hey, I'm a half-breed)....what race do you consider yourself?
If your half-Asian, half-Caucasion....do you see yourself as White or Asian?
If your half-African American, half-Caucasian....are you Black or White?
I'm Hispanic, Native American, and Caucasian, personally. But mostly Hispanic.
One thing I've noticed is, at least here in the states, if your "half" anything, your not the white half....your considered by others as the minority half. Anyone else see this? To all my friends, I'm "Mexican."

I know exactly what you're talking about.
One of the most well known instances of this is if you're half African-American then you're considered that no matter what the other half is.
My girlfriend is half African-American and half Mexican but everyone considers her African-American for some reason...

That's what more people should say, if you're more than one race then just tell people you're multiracial.
It always seems like people have to be "well you have to be one race" just for the sake of being able to lump you in with that group.
