I'm pitcuring a whole line of fat kids standing on a curb in a somewhat business district. Then I see myself charging like a bull, in super slow-mo, and ramming the first kid in the stomach with my head. The force transfers from me to him therefore creating a fat kid domino effect. I was nicknamed "The Ethiopian Body Builder" when I was 17 cause I had a body similar to Bruce Lee on crack.

I turned 26 and the next thing I knew, I had some chubbbs. I was even in the military at the time, exercising 5 times a week for up to 2 hours each time. I just had lost my metabolism.

Then after being in the military, I worked in a prison which involves dealing with inmates for 12 hours a day. I really didn't have strength to work out after a day's work of that which brought the pounds on. I also turned to drinking alot of beer because I was having a battle with depression. I had a shitty marriage at the time and I dealt with inmates. They say working as a correctional officer is one of the jobs with the highest alcoholism rate and it's true.

My daughter was then born and I surely didn't have time to work out. I was too occupied. I was up to 215 lbs.

I then got an offer to work overseas. It was a physical demanding job so, when I got over there I hit the gym real hard because it's not good to be fat and out of breath during an ambush. I went down to 175 lbs within 3 months. I basically had to starve myself though and being in 145 degree weather everyday was also a big weight loss factor.

I also got a divorce with my ex wife which very much cured my depression. I had more energy to do things.

With my experience, I can tell you that depression is a huge factor that can cause being overweight. It's just something that goes hand in hand. I also had to basically starve myself. The shit just isn't easy.

And when you get older, you realize that there's bigger priorities in life such as keeping a family and work. You'll then realize that in order to do those things, your workout time has decreased. I'm back in the states now, getting a little chubby because I've got a daughter to watch, I work 20 hours sometimes and 12 hours normally, I've got a wife and I've got a hobby of playing guitar. I'll never get as fat as I've done before though. NO WAY.

So yeah, I guess what I'm saying is that I thought I'd never get fat when I was young but as I got old, I've realized that shit happens.

Hehe. One thing that made me LOL was that I've seen people that lived in apartment buildings with little stores right outside of the gates. They would walk from their apartment and get into their car and drive to the little store. Honk their horn for the store clerk to come out and then they'd drive back to the building. Funny, I was overweight a few years back and my doctor told me I had excellent cholesterol, blood pressure, all my blood tests came back perfect and I have a strong and healthy heart. Yet my friend who is slender has to watch what she eats because she's got high cholesterol.

I have since lost the weight I gained (thank you freshman 15), but it doesn't mean I was unhealthy at that point. It's not always the case. Oftentimes being overweight DOES equate being unhealthy, but sometimes it just means you've got another layer of fat others don't.
