i didn't actually do the math on his birthdate, since it was conveniently stated as 17 right below it. perhaps i should take another look.

i probably spent a good minute or two trying to do the math on his birthdate
upon successful completion of said math, i noticed that his age was listed in plain text below
also i did my math wrong

i'm not great at math. which is why i went to law school.

me too
but they're pulling all this math out on me in contracts
reliance and expectation and restitution and numbers, numbers, numbers
at this point i'm assuming that they're bluffing with the numbers, but i dunno

is that like the U.S. equivalent of high school or something?

my crim law professor is amazing. he's quite the entertainer. he's got this kind of cynical "i've done several capital punishment cases so my sense of humor is so dark you can barely see it" kind of vibe going, everyone loves it. shit, we just got to the rape section, and he's still getting laughs. i don't know how you make rape funny, but he managed to do it. with class, mind you
i've been told i should take tax, because tax is one of those things you apparently need to know in the real world
i'm prepared to challenge that

schoolies week is like spring break i think. basically every school leaver goes to surfers paradise and gets drunk, takes drugs, gets into fights and fucks randoms for a week

ah, i see. yep, spring break.
bob: i would recommend it. i took fed tax I, II and state and local taxation. i don't really recommend the state and local, but the fed tax is good.
the nice thing is, it's fairly black and white in terms of the law. something either is taxable, or it isn't.

mathwise, is it worse than contracts? or more or less the same?
this could probably be in a PM, but i'm about to hit reply, so

haha! i thought about a PM about 8 posts back, but figured knuckles would be ok with the accidental hijack.
i liked tax better than contracts. and truth be told, i didn't actually do any math in tax class.
