Thanks bionic.......We filmed it in Feb, 2005 in various locations around Shreveport, La. It was all shot in one day. We had a boombox and shot the entire song two or three times all the way through at each location so i could have plenty of cool shots to choose from. It took me one day to shoot but 5 weeks to edit. We really didnt have a storyboard or anything. We just shot the woods location first, then just kinda drove around looking for cool places to film. I had been a pretty big beasties fan for some time and i always wanted to make a video that was kind of like a mix up of a lot of their videos for a song that they hadnt made a video for. And "The New Style" was always one of my fav tracks. There are the obvious tributes in my video to "So Whatcha Want" but i also drew a little inspiration from the "Pass The Mic" "Alive" and "Jimmy James" videos. anyway, yeah thanks for enjoying it. check out some of our other skits and videos at http://meefawinc.com/watch/vol3/

oh, and im Josh Hale btw, the guy who does all of Mike D's lines in the video....

You guys are the cutest pseudo-Beasties I've seen. Then again, you're the only ones. Whoever that guy is as Adrock looks very reminiscent of a younger version of the real thing. Mike's role in the So What'cha Want parts were also pretty dead-on...I think you mentioned that was you. Very well done. Sure, you could've made your own music, but it looked like you guys had fun. And if you squint a little, and with a bit of imagination, it's almost like the New Style vid we never had.

Oh, and you all got the mannerisms and stuff down perfect.

yeah, i took my macro widescreen lens and had to turn it backwards, add an adapter, and invert the lens to get the fish-eye effect. it took a while but it was worth it. it just makes it seem more like a beasties video to me.
