I'm gonna sound like a complete dick for saying this, but I'm not trying to be, but I really think if Cobain was still alive, no one would be listening to Nirvana.

They'd have their collection of hardcore fans, but they wouldn't be the "Icons" that they are now.

They'd be Pearl Jam. New album comes out, 1st single gets some play on the Rock stations, then they're forgotten until the next album comes out.

Cobain wasn't a genius, he just offed himself before anyone realized how mediocre he was.
