I mean, really. I just listened to their interview on JJJ and don't they realise that the stupid nonsensical interviews they give just aren't funny? Maybe they were in the mid to late 80's but just once i would like to hear them be serious for a change and actually talk about their new album or whatever.

What you see, is what you get!
I think the only time I ever saw alot of people get pissed off by this is when Minton/tpk interviewed Yauch with our questions and he wasn't serious at all.
I didnt think it was funny at the time, but now I do.

yea i wasn't around or a member at the time but i've searched & found that interview & really it sucked he repeated "some dumb cop gave me two tickets already" like 3 times i laughed a bit at first but then i realized he didn't answer the question that people were wondering.

Personally, I find all their interviews entertaining, and I think most people do. They're just not ready to unveil new info. In past interviews they've always joked around to deflect a question...

Ohh C'MON man, the boys will be boys ... and it's the best thing about them!
I wouldn't like to see them too serious, no waaay, as I wouldn't like to see them getting older, but :\
Anyway, can we read that interview somewhere?

We just had Jonathan Mann, an anchor for CNN international come talk to my class last week about interviewing. He said that most celebrities don't like to be interviewed because they've done it so many times. Plus interviewers often take what is said out of context, etc. Even more serious people like Jimmy Carter, whom he interviewed, rarely give more than pat answers because it's tedious.

this interview was great, pretty funny.
why would they talk about what the new album would be like? the album will come out eventually, leave all the excitement til then. why give out little bits of information and get people assuming things, making false predictions from what they say, or build up expectations.
i love their interviews. they make interviews very entertaining, and hey we'll be talking about the new album for years after it comes out, no need to talk about it now. i'd rather listen to them make fun of things and joke around than listen to them talk about something we're all going to hear anyway.

i like their humor and think they would be nothing but a joke and no rappers would respect them if they took themselves too real/serious from the beginning
the moral of the tale: you need to joke to not become a living joke like vanilla ice

how could you not adore them for that? they like to goof around and have fun, which makes it more enjoyable for us as well :)
i'm definitely curious about the album as much as y'all though - we can only wait! (lb)

serious interviews usually go down the drain once the interviewer decides to do it dressed as a bell boy while under a table.

It's awesome how the boys are able to play off of eachother while doing an interview like that. That was one of the funnier interivews.
Loved it!

They've been doing goofy interviews for years and years haven't they? Even going back to the Paul's Boutique days?
