Unfortunately the sucky FC Bayern didn't lose 5 to 0. Musta been the best game yesterday, though. Bayern suck, cause they are by far the richest club here, yet cry like babies when Gazprom makes a 5 yr/120 million euro sponsoring deal with Schalke. Chelsea also made 120 € minus I just heard. I'd rather see Real advance.

wait, gazprom sponsors a german team? isn't that kinda of illegal?

On October 9, 2006, it was announced that Russian company Gazprom would become the club's new sponsor. The company expects to invest as much as €125 million in the club over a 5½ year period. (from Wikipedia)

Why should it be illegal? They're a foreign company paying to have their name on the Jersey and certain other places. At first people were a lot like "Oh this is like Chelsea." But it has calmed down a lot and the team does not go overboard with buying new players yet.

hmm, well Gazprom used to be Sibneft (Abramovich's company). i thought he still had some share in it, but obviously not. i know he got in alot of shit for sponsoring CSKA Moskva a couple of years ago

i was at my friend's house for pancakes last night and they live mere metres away from celtic park. her boyfriend is maddd celtic crazy fan man. i get kinda scared walking round that part of glasgow on my own when there's a match, though, because everyone is in green and white and really, really fucked and they start singing and ohhhh it's scary.

last time i went, ranald got to go with him (awwh!) to watch the manchester united v celtic game and i got to stay in the flat learning the celtic chants that weren't horribly sectarian. well, apart from the whole sinn fein thing LOL!

like, the nakamura one - "he eats chow mein he votes sinn fein". fantastic!

and the jan venigoor of hesilink one (yes, i know i've probably spelt that wrong) - "he's big, he's strong, his name is very long jan veniggoooorrrrrr of hesilink".

i didn't get home last night til super late because of the bloody celtic fans stealin' all my taxi attention. grr!

I go for whoever has/had Dreamcast on their shirts. Or whoever has the best Irish nationalist chants. Or whoever is winning.

I actually played a game od soccer this afternoon. I wore sunglasses and stood with my hands on my hips.

Didn't know the Aussie League was that dodgy. Italy's football is a vipers nest of rampant fascism, corruption and overinflated egos. So it's not that much worse than any other :D
What really bothers me is their way to deal with the punishment of the offenders, like Juventus. Three other teams were proven to have manipulated games and bribed the refs, but lots of whining led to laughable sanctions. Game goes on. Cop killed by hools, one week games before empty ranks, then game goes on..

the aussie national team is notoriously dirty. i mean, how often do you see a red card in a friendly game. i could type a shitload about this subject. many, including myself believe that the pre conception that the australian team is a dirty team is the reason that we were knocked out of the world cup. if italy wasn't awarded a penalty in the last minutes of our game against italy we most likely would've won. because, buffon is useless when it comes to penalty shoot outs, and Schwartzer is great at it. a lot of us believe that if the referee didn't game that penalty, and australia went on to win, then that game would've been a shitload more contraversial. that's one thing i hate about soccer, too much relies on the ref making the right decisions

Dude, you were so robbed in that game. It even happened in my hometown and everybody there was in mad love with the Socceroos cause they were drinking lots of beer with us. Town was full of plastic kangaroos. Plus we got tons of Italians here already and they can be a bit condescending at times. Everybody wanted Australia to win and the penalty was a total joke. "Oh, the defense player fell down in front of me. I'll trip over him real quick like and cry like a baby afterwards."
Seems they played a bit more dirty in the end and now they're 4x champs...

Saw Barca vs Liverpool yesterday. The Spaniards stopped showing any skill or fighting spirit after their lead but Liverpool didn't take no shit and the two players who had a brawl with golf clubs last weekend scored the two goals. Both goalies were weak!

Lol @ the golf move.
I think Puyol was still the best of all the Spaniards though.
He reminds me a lot of german rapper Ferris MC

And both of these keepers wouldn't play in the first league here. It kinda weirded me out how many shots they let drop or didn't catch.
