I've never had anything different on all the mobile phones I've owned. saying that my current phone "rings" but it's not sounding like an old fashioned phone.

I just cant stand ringtones - they are better now but, shit, back in the "polyphonic" days they were truly horrific.

I keep mine in my pocket, and the vibrate function works pretty good on my phone, so I nver have the ringtone on.

yeah cause I work in an office my phone is on vibrate for at least half my waking day.

The vibrate function on Sony Ericssons is great - I'm sure a seismic recorder is picking mine up from 5 miles away...

I've got "Battle" by Gangstarr as an mp3 ringtone. It was cool at first but now I can't listen to that song from hearing the first few seconds of it every single day for about a year. Before that I had "Fool's Gold" by the Stone Roses, another tune ruined for me forever.

I need the "old fasion rotary" phone sound. I can hear it. I tried the beep tones and they sound soo gay. Beats or songs I don't hear well enough to get my attention. I don't like things all of a sudden vibrating in my pocket. So it's the best choice for me.

These two women I work with, both over 50, one has a Keane song and the other has a Justin Timberlake thing. Both their phones ring constantly and I hate those tunes.

I use just the standard Sony one but most of the time it's on vibrate/silent. I hate using the telephone so screen as many calls as possible
