Yes, I am currently in the midst of my annual sojourn to the good ol' USA - not just to W.'s America, but to Jeb Bush's Florida, where the sunshine on the Gulf is, I must say, absolutely divine. I'm in something of a Canadian enclave, but the differences between our two countries are, as I always remark, quite profound:

1) American news services, whether local or national, are an absolute insult to the intelligence of this country. For that matter, so is most of the regular programming.

2) Spanish-language TV = (y). El Amor Prohibido!

3) Patriotism is really very prevalent here - lots of American flags to be found everywhere, whether flying on poles or stuck on people's cars. Lots of yellow ribbons as well. On that note - I saw a quite a few soldiers in the Denver airport, though all in ones or twos, not in groups. Must have been on their way back home.

4) I don't know if this is merely a local or a state-wide phenomenon, but the amount of pharmaceutical and medical advertising down here is unbelievable. Every other ad is for some pill or spray or drop or whatever, targeting almost every demographic from babies to the elderly. Very odd.

OK, time to hit the beach. I see jou later mang.

If i resume your observation of the USA; people stoned on pills while getting brainwashed checking bias news while waving their flag in the name of ...freedom !

At least the beach is intact!

I hope you mean television news, which is an abomination. The American newspaper isn't nearly as bad as CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and all of their local underlings.
