The family is holding it down in the High Plains of Texas. I am just watching my boy grow like a weed. He is 6 months old now. I am just writing and working freelance from time to time. We may move back to the east coast. It would be 4 years of our circus traveling around and boom.....back full circle to Richmond, Va. My wife is not too keen on her new job and she is being offered a management postition with her old entertainment firm. We like Amarillo but the dust storms, tornadoes, tumbleweeds and big trucks are a bit much. Not to mention that our family is back east.

We moved from West Palm when my wife was offered a position with a company based in Amarillo. The pay is great and we found a sweet house. Things at her company are a bit disorganized and they just fired the Vice President. She held him in high regard and now is a disenchanted with work. Her old company based in South Florida just called and they are in talks about a great opportunity in their Richmond office. The great thing is that they would allow her to work out of our home until we sell this house. I just hope we can put down some roots. I have enjoyed seeing different parts of the country but the moving is hard. I can't really complain because the moves have been beneficial. Who knows what will happen? I'm just along for the ride.

bobby and i watched 3 movies today: spun, domino & lucky number slevin. in order of viewing, and in order of greatness.

mickey rourke and mina suvari were in spun and domino, and domino also included lucy liu, who was in lucky number slevin. this is like the second time we've had a movie marathon where you could tie at least one actor/actress from the previous movie to the next. totally unplanned.

Here in America, the typical highschool year runs from September thru June. Graduating classes usually come out in sometime in May. College is a whole different story though. It depends on what classes you're taking, when you started, etc.

Uni started this week to whoever was going. I don't know what I want to do yet, so I'm taking a year off from study.

CAREFUL!! I did that exact same thing after I graduated high school in '89. I haven't been back to school since. It's easy to lose your focus after a while. Not saying it will happen to you, just be careful.

And don't get anybody pregnant. That will fuck up everything.

Oh, I found something to do. I eventually got into the commodities market. Chicago Board of Trade. But that was fluke. I fell into it on accident and it just happened to be something that I liked and was good at. That's the type of environment where they don't really care what your educational background is too much, as long as you know what the fuck you are doing when your dealing with the trades. That's what carries weight to those people down there.....the here and now. Fuck what happened before or where you come from. There are millionaires at the Chicago Board of Trade who have never finished highschool. But most other places are interested in your background. They want to know what kind of degree you have and where you got it and blah, blah, blah.

If I hadn't wound up at the Board of Trade then a degree would have been absolutley mandatory for me to get anywhere. I got pretty lucky.
