I see it as my duty being a member of the human race to warn one and all to avoid the film "The Number 23" at all costs. Possibly the worst movie I've seen in the last five years, if not more. Absolutely horrid. (n) (n)

You've been warned.

Luckily my friend had it on a pirated dvd. I wouldn't spend the pocket lint droppings trying to dig out change for that heap.

The only thing cool about it was listening to him talk. Ghost Rider was cool looking too but that's it.

As for movies to actually recommend, has anyone seen Reno 911! Miami yet? I'm a fan of the show. I was probably going to check it out on Tuesday.

don't be fooled, i fell for that shit too. bad script, sub-standard acting, and pretty much jsut boring and predictable. the only respectable element, i found, was the cinematography (which is about all schumacher is good for). do as you will, but you've been warned.

I don't like seeing Carrey period. He makes me really nervous for some reason.

23 is probably a crap movie. I rarely go to theaters, 'cause they're usually filled with crap.

It surely can't compare to the horrific experience that was me being taken to see "Dreamgirls" recently.

I thought it would never end. I think I'd probably rather face a nasty accident with some farming machinery where my genitals are ripped from my body and found about 1/2 a mile away in a ditch than see that eyeball offending, ear raping pile of shite again.

They can stick that on the DVD cover.

i don't think that droves of people show up at these movies because they're genuinely taken by them (of course some do), but because they feel like going out to a movie on a low-key night and there was very little to choose from. I found myself trying to determine the lesser of a few evils when i was checking the listings for movies last night.

LOL

Though I can agree with you on Ghost Rider (which by the way, I might see if someone rents it because I figure it'll be brainless entertainment which is fine but I am definitely not expecting something GOOD)... Number 23 had slight potential. SLIGHT.

i read some interviews where it seems that jim carrey is going batshit crazy. his hair is almost on par with tom cruise's abomination.

This movie sucked so bad, the number 23 is the number of times I thought about leaving! *coughbadjokes* Anyways, Jim Carrey was good but my god everything was so predictable, you knew within 15 minutes of the beginning who wrote the book, etc.

Shitty supporting cast, wierd freak out moments that seemed a little too real.

I love some of his movies and characters but I don't like him. He kind of reminds me of like a Robin Williams type who always has to be "on" and show just how whacky they are

I saw it. If you're a fan of the show, you'll like it. It's enjoyable. It was decent and had a few really laugh-out-loud funny parts. Just like the TV show.

Plus, cameos from the Stella troupe. (y)

I don't know why you have such a hard-on against that movie. At the very least, it was a serviceable thriller.

I really liked it for the most part. I remember the wind up at the end being a bit much, but that was a fine movie.
