Lunar eclipse. (http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/space/03/02/lunar.eclipse.ap/index.html)

So when the moon turns blood red, don't go running and screaming, thinking the end is night. :D

When I saw the time I thought I'd already missed it, but then I realised it said ET, so here it's gonna be around 2am. I might be able to catch a glimpse of it after the gig. Or not. Depends how the night goes on... Last night (i.e. this morning) I got home at 5am...

it looked pretty impressive.

what was funny tho, we we're heading into town at the height of it to go to the pub and all around the streets people we're gathered outside pubs all looking up at the sky..it was like something from a sci-fi film, everyone waiting for the pod people, or the jackson 5 or something to descend from the sky..

or the jackson 5 or something

Blimey, thought the end was nigh last night, good thing I decided to check this thread first!

Wasnt all that spectacular really, went abit red, but took ages to go total, could've done with the jackson 5 in my opinion.

it was not even popcorn worthy

now that's a bold statement right there

from my view it had like this vague orangy glow to it, but a small slize of it was still white the whole thing through

anyway, it's gonna be a new clipse this fall in europe wooohooooo

I remembered it around two, but couldn't see any change in the moon. It turned out that it happened around 11pm, but at that time I was inside a venue, checking out my friends (playing a 20 minute set at a totally disasterous Hot Rod event).

It probably would have been quite spectacular viewing in the countryside away from the light pollution of the city. We saw a bit of red, got bored then starting eating stale Jaffa Cakes in two bites: "Full Moon! Half Moon! Total Eclipse!"
