...this Sunday. We lose an hour.

Daylight saving time changes are in earlier and later beginning this year.

So at 2:00 a.m. Sunday, it becomes 3:00 a.m.*

*Corrected after Laver set me straight.

Canadians are doing it too, right? Wiki says yes. But it would be convenient if they didn't because then there would only be an hour time difference between Brett and me. I don't think that's the case, though.

I don't know if Canada is doing it on the new U.S. schedule. Congress or whoever voted last year to begin DST a few weeks earlier and end a few weeks later, so doing it at this time of year is completely new.

Hawaii doesn't observe it, and a few other spots. Arizona. And, I think, one county in southern Indiana.

Not all of Canada observes DST. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time_around_the_world#Canada)

Ahh, so Brett's forced to do it too.

My coworker told me that no one else in the world changes their clocks, it's just a US thing that was created to save oil during WW2. I remember that's the reason why we changed it, but I swore that other countries did it as well, though perhaps at different times depending on where they lived. I was right, hi5.

Believe it or not, I think Ben Franklin first proposed it. I think.
