yesterday around 4pm we went down to the hotel desk to ask if there were any places nearby to get some food and the guy sort of stared at us and was like "there are about 10 places that will be open for dinner later, but thats about it"

Delaware does have beach land, but I guarantee you the cities suck just as bad if not worse.
"Oh boy, Delaware! I'm going to go to a screen door factory!"

the hotel we stayed at was only 10 stories shorter than the tallest building in town
it was funny because there were a few streets that were so empty that we would hit the button to get the cross walk, and people going in the main direction would get mad because there were no cars coming out of the other street for the light to have needed to change at all
nobody who lives in new england hits the buttons on crosswalks. maybe now and then an old lady on crutches pushing a baby carriage might sort of think about it, but apart from that, the only people who use the buttons are tourists. i don't know why though, because new engladers are terrible drivers
i don't know why more people don't get hit by cars. i'm guessing it's kind of similar to how fish can swim in gigantic schools, and yet never bump into each other

the arena still has the old whalers retired jerseys hanging in the rafters
they are right next to the crappy banners for their minor league hockey team they have now
