So I just started here last week, covering for the girl going on maternity leave.

They said that they like me so much and I'm working out so well, that they wanted to increase my pay

I wonder if that also has anything to do with seeing me walk by with a cup of ramen in my hand ahaha.

Sweet deal though.

Your turn!

i still have a job

i've been through 3-4 rounds of layoffs in the past 6 months and so far so good. we've had two layoffs since January 1 and yeah. ... its a scary time to be with my company in the homebuilding industry.
this is us (http://phx.corporate-ir.net/phoenix.zhtml?c=65842&p=irol-newsArticle_Print&ID=950922&highlight=)

so you can imagine that a loss of 195.6 million dollars would mean some cutbacks... and unfortunately my department is one of the departments that doesn't make anymoney for the company... we just spend it. yay for customer service.

but this is the good news thread and im just so happy i still have a paycheck.

:D

i found a new apartment

i gotta move into it ASAP though and i gotta balance all my other work on top of that but oh well, at least i won't be homeless

it's a really nice place, too. rent is very reasonable, all things considered, i almost feel like i'm ripping the guy off. my roommate is also the owner of the apartment, so i'm renting the bedroom directly from him. since he owns the place, he's pimped it the fuck out, it's gorgeous. posh leather couches, HDTV, modernized kitchen with marble countertops and a dishwasher, free laundry in the basement...bedroom's kind of tiny, but it's not like i'm jogging in there or anything.

should be nice

1). I have two job interviews in the next two weeks. I am confident that both will offer me a position. One of them is thru a contracting firm, which basically means I work for six months to a year and then go someplace else which is perfect for someone with ADD like myself.

2). I re-financed my car for slightly cheaper payments

3). For the first time since I re-started post secondary training, I actually have an interest in learning. When I finish the certification I am studying (CCNA), I could easily get something starting at $15-20k more than I am making now, which would be very comfortable. Then I can lol at all of you that wasted four years of life in college and spent tens of thousands of dollars in the process while I half ass skated my way into financial stability thru schmoozing and a years worth of education. I will hold off on the lols until it happens though.

I know a dude who can lol at anyone who has something higher than a high school education. He's one of the country's top mortgage loan officers and makes $600,000/year.

Anyways, good news is I can move into my friends' house for slightly cheaper than what I'm paying now (around $160 per month cheaper). I think I'mma do that. (y)

I still have no one and I'm stuck on this same goddamn spot in Dead Rising, so my life is still going pretty shitty, but since that isn't allowed here, I did find a copy of that Emilio Estevez movie Men at Work in my basement.

I didn't think I really had anything to post in here but I guess I do.

I decided that I'm sick of wasting my time and not feeling like I'm fulfilling my potential. So I'm going for it, the whole film-making, writer, comedy thing, and it scares me shitless, but I'm going to do it.

I am finally starting to get over my ex boyfriend.

In two weeks I am going on a road trip with some of my best friends to see The Price is Right :o

Oh and also, I've stopped feeling sorry for myself when I come across people who are more talented in certain things/have accomplished more than I have, because I think that was holding me back more than anything else.

a) I just got a pretty fat tax return from all the hell I was served last year (gigantic house sold at lost etc etc)

b) With that, I will be able to pay off my student loans and kill my credit card debt, leaving me with only one more loan to pay off.

c) After other misc, I will have a surplus. I am going to use my freq. flier miles to go to the Dominican Republic with my gf for a vacation in August.

d) Last, my girl's ass looks fantastic today.

It seems my pet rabbit's ear abcess is not going to return for the 139032184034th time. Poor little guy, he hated ear drops. So I guess its really good news for him.

no. i've been eating burger rings since i was born and they never ever came in a box. they used to come in plastic not foil, but never in a box. i'm positive. if you doubt me i will ask my brother and he's over 30 and loves burger rings more than me.
