Downloaded this the day you posted it, but didn't have time to listen til' today...
Very creepy.. I tend to see things visually in my head as I sit in Photoshop all day, not Acid, Cubase, etc, so this won't make any sense, but the vocal shadows are what's creepin' me out, but I love the beats, and the overall fuzziness/dirtiness of this mix. (y) (y)

^^^ Cheers mate. I'm trying to get some more done today so watch this thread....
Senor Septo...I know what you mean about the "visual listening" thing. I get that too. Given that the song is called "crawlspace" and the cliched relevence in cheapo horro flicks and song including lines about sneaking around peoples homes - I intended it to sound a bit creepy and intrusive.
In case anyone wonders how those vocal FX are done (hey - it took me a LONG time to figure it out!) I loaded the acapella in soundforge and reversed the whole aca. I then added a reverb effect to the entire aca so the reverb trails the end of the words ( actually the start of the words). I then re-reversed it so it was the right way around and hey presto - it sounds like the vocals are flying in.
I tried to get the sort of effect like in the movie Poltergeist (SP?) where the little girls voice is calling "mommy" from the TV. Didn't quite come of that well but I am tinkering with reverse reverb so expect a few tracks to feature it.
cheers

this is indeed spooky stuff! gotta love the ghost fx on the vocals, though you could use 'em a bit easier. now the ghosts are all over the place and somehow lessen the spooky atmosphere. cool stuff anyways!

^^ I have now redone the FX and minimized them to just a few places in the mix.
