Well there is some new info here...

Yauch says the Beasties are "focusing on playing instruments [and] not really working with drum machines and samples" on the record, which they are in the process of mixing. The album is currently untitled, but they hope to release it this spring.

SPRING!!! HOLY SHMOLIE, I thought it was gonna be in the summer. Then I heard "Later in the year" and got all sad, but spring?!?! Damn, then it must be comin out pretty soon. Yesssss! :D

Man, I really hope he means their doing the instrumentals themselves and then rapping on top of that. I reallllllllllly hope thats what he means.

It dosen't say there won't be any vocals, just no samples but instruments instead

Yauch says there are no plans for the two groups to play together at the festival but adds that Bad Brains bassist Darryl Jenifer "will probably steal a couple of beers from my dressing room."

YESSSSSSSSS! I love check your head and ill communication. I'd like to listen to some good tracks by Money Mark. Does anyone know if he's working at the moment with the beasties??Thanks;)

He didn't say no vocals.
He also said "not really working" with drum machines and samples, which doesn't rule it out.
Ill communication and Check your head use mostly instruments with drum machines and samples more as overdubs.

I really don't care what kind of music it has if they get it out around Spring.

I just hope I enjoy it more in the long-term than TT5B :(
