Holy unfunny Batman, what is that?

"The 1/2 Hour News Hour"... I think I saw this on YouTube a few weeks ago. They're described as the "conservative Daily Show," but the problem is, even when the Daily Show isn't being political, they are still funny (most of the time).

"An Alabama man was shot after an argument about the height of James Brown. Arguments about the height of James Brown are now the number three cause of death in Alabama."

(HILARIOUS AUDIENCE LAUGH TRACK, either that or they are easy to please).

They just finished the show with a 5 minute segment where the punchline was, "Well that couldn't be true because we all know Islam is a religion of peace."

I think the most unshocking development in the world is that this was picked up by the FOX NEWS channel.

This crosses partisan lines and is just universally unfunny. Plain and simple.

And Daily Show skewers politics as usual, above all. It's not necessarily just a liberal perspective.

Wow, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter in the same opening segment.

Couldn't get any more polarizing than that I guess.

EDIT: Like for REAL. There is a reason the Daily Show is on COMEDY CENTRAL. Comedy Shows shouldn't be on motherfucking NEWS networks. Just rename FOX News already. People aren't buying that its news anymore.

The difference between Daily Show and the 1/2 Hour News Hour (aside from the obvious one has a sense of humor and the other just tries to) is that the Daily Show is determined to poke fun at the news. Whoever's in power, whatever the media says, whatever is ridiculous they'll make fun of. 1/2 Hour News Hour is determined to make fun of left-wingers.

Anyone remember Daily Show from when Clinton was in office? They made fun of him and his cabinet, too. It just so happens that Republicans have been in power, oh, the past 6 years. And since they make fun of who's in power, there you have it. They made fun of Kerry quite a bit during 2004. They may be liberal-leaning, but they're not determined to JUST bash on Republicans. They'll bash on whoever deserves it.

I just saw another youtube news clip of Limbaugh pretending to be the President and then calling his Vice President into the room, who was Ann Coulter. Once I saw Skeletor enter, I promptly threw up in my mouth a little and turned it off.
