Mostly, though, ringtones just seem annoying. Why have a ringtone if you can just set the phone to vibrate? Maybe, for women, the phone goes in the purse, so it makes sense, but...

That's why it would be pre-planned. I just hate when people's cells go off and even though it's loud, they don't realize it until like 20 seconds into it and then they fumble around for their phones for another 10 seconds and by then, the ringing has stopped. I mean, if that's annoying, imagine 12x that length! LOL!

The very beginning. I don't have one of those cell phones that plays the song like it's playing on a radio, I have one that still relies on only a certain number of notes programmed into the phone to mimic the song, if that makes sense. So the beginning part with the flutes and stuff sounds the best.

I junked my cell phone quite a while back, so I'm not really familiar with what phones have what capabilities. But I know I've heard people's phones go off and it sounds like a pretty straight recording coming out, so I figure there must be some real custom options out there.

mine ribbits like a frog, and its not really all that loud so most people do't really hear it when it rings


i kind of like it when people have recordings of comedy sketches or random vocal stuff. one of my friends had his be a recording of him yelling to pick up the phone and it was pretty amusing

Ive got a 2gig mirco sd card for it. im gunna get episodes of simpsons and family guy on there so i can watch them when im not busy.

ive still yet to get decent ringtones, so the one i chose which was the least worst is the old style nostalgic 'rrrrrriiiiiiinnnngggggg' which sounds like an old desk phone from the 40's.

I just switched cell providers because my old company (AT&T/Cingular) would not work at my office and home. I needed to sit beside a window at my house or go outside. I could not even get a signal in my office. I switched to Verizon and now everything is OK.

Anyway, to go to the topic of this thread.

The crazy frog was the worst ringtone ever.

It's pretty funny, and will now sound like complete BS, but my first cell phone could only play music in that silly xylophone-sounding tone, and I had the AxelF as my ringtone.

I later changed phones, and about a year later, that crazy frog ringtone came out.

I felt like I was the one that started the trend.

It was kinda like the time I was the first one in my circle of friends that heard The Thong Song. The all thought I was crazy when I tried to describe how rediculous the song was, but they wouldn't listen.

I never have my phone on anything but vibrate, but on the rare occasions that it does actually ring, it's RATM's "Bulls on Parade".

I have the theme from Law and Order as my ringtone. I've had it for so long that I forget that it's funny. I was at a meeting the other day, and my purse was across the room and the phone started ringing, DUN DUN dunt dunt dunt dunt dunnnn dunn.... and people were highly amused, and I was like, "what?"

unfortunately it cuts off right before the flute solo.

It's actually one of the least jarring ringtones I've heard. The one I had before on my old phone was slow and had a lot of bass. I mixed it myself, from a stock tone, but my new phone doesn't let you do it right on the phone.

I can't do the vibrate thing, my phone is rarely touching me.
