Van Halen was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame last night by Velvet Revolver.
Eddie was in rehab. David Lee Roth did not show up because he was pissed that he could not perform. Michael Anthony showed but has been replaced my Eddie Van Halen's son Wolfgang.

This was a total debacle. The only Van Halen members in attendance were Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony.

Do you really think Van Halen should not get in the Hall of Fame?

I used to rock the 1st album jammin Runnin with the Devil. I agree that they were a bit cheesy but you have to admit that Eddie can play the guitar like a fiend. I have a rednecky friend that has Van Halen and Aerosmith tattoos.

Yeah, that first album was good. But I just don't think it's a stone classic.

Man. I remember being in Florida on vacation -- probably thirteen years old? -- and we'd been waiting for Women and Children First to come out. Went to the record store and got it, so excited, then drove around listening to it, our hearts just sinking. :(

Hey, they were a super fun live act when I was a teenager. Dave used to be a funny guy. So many of my memories involve liquor and Van Halen.

They have at least a dozen classic songs. I sort of feel sad for the fellows because unlike the Sex Pistols they really wanted to be part of this induction ceremony. When something really matters to you in your own career it is a shame you cannot be there to reap the benefits.

I just read where Velvet Revolver played "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love" for Van Halen's R&R HoF induction.

The end is surely near. That is some serious repugnant bullshit. Gross. What a bunch of monkey asses.

Did anybody watch this? I need to know how bad the show was.
