wow, i always found pauls boutique and moon safari to be more wintery joints for me. kind of solemn with dark undercurrents. here's a couple i wear out in the summer:
talking heads - stop making sense
beck - midnite vultures
shuggie otis - inspiration information

"Fell deep in love, but now we ain't speakin'/Michael J. Fox was Alex P. Keaton."
Madonna (debut)
Fountains of Wayne: Utopia Parkway (summer of ’99; sweating my balls off in
Manhattan while everyone else was at their beach house)
Sugar Ray: Floored (cheesy, I know)
Kostars: Klassics with a K
G. Love: The Hustle and Lemonade too

40 oz. to Freedom is almost the perfect summer album.
Other than that - III and Physical Graffiti side 2, by Led Zeppelin, are music I always associate with summer.
