hmm I've been to those places and even went painting in Venice beach by Santa Monica. I wanted to know if there is a place where they have like a trademark or landmark....like a 50's diner or the big donut drive thru?

If you enjoy the thick snapping sound of animal stomach lining being broken into by your teeth as you release processed meat, then Pinks is for you.

I liked Ed Debevik's across the street from the Stinking Rose on Wilshire, I think. It was a fun little 50's Pulp Fiction style restaurant.
There's also Jerry's Deli across the street from Beverly Center. On Melrose maybe, I didn't have a car when I lived there so I never paid that much attention to street names.
Take a drive through the Hollywood Hills and ooh and aah at the houses. Also, I used to like Rodeo. I can't afford any of the shit but I thought it was fun.
I think you should go to the clubs that are in the news all the time these days, Hyde, Les Deux, Butter (or is that in New York) etc. And try to get your picture taken with Lindsay Lohan. It doesn't get more L.A. than that. And that's not necessarily a good thing.
Actually, there's a nice hike at the Griffith Park Observatory too. And, of course, the Observatory which is hella cool.
