I wanted to go out to the Irish pub and drink loads of Guinness, but then I sortof got ill and I thought I'd stay home. Then my sis phones me and tells me she's going to the pub with a friend. I concider maybe going with her afterall, and then when she's here and about to go, she decides she doesn't want to go because she's tired and now I'm stuck at home without guinness and without friends. :(

Yeah I wanted to do an all day drink a thon but none of my friends were done plus it's to much money to go bar hopping all day so I got some different beers from the liquor store and I'll hang out here untill the festivities start.

anyway, we went to a local irish bar that we always hang at and were pissed to find they were charging a $5 cover when they don't even do that on new year's. i had my first pint of guinness, then switched to pilsner urquell, then had a pint of smithwick's (not by choice, but it was surprisingly good) and then more pilsner. a few grolsh's and a couple of jager bombs, etc.

Shit, there were a lot of bad drivers on the road tonight. I forgot about the extra drunks tonight.

we walked both downtown and back. i was hoping we'd get a cab on the way back, but i was sadly mistaken.

I saw several cars that had to be doing 100 on the freeway. I thought there would be extra cops on the roads tonight, but I suppose they were all needed in downtown St. Paul.
