that choppy, puttering effecting that hits everytime Swizz says "freeze" is from mixmaster mike's "anti-theft device" CD. I'm not 100% sure if it's a completely original sound made by MMM or if he had just used the same sample, but it sounds like a sound MMM would make manually on his turntables.
