Actually, it is a beastie boys reference due to the fact that those boys are too young to have heard it anywhere's else. I took it as a Beastie Boys reference when I first saw the movie.

a little girl in the 3rd grade asks to be excused to go to the bathroom in school. she is in the bathroom and reads a word on the wall she had never heard of before.. she then goes back to class and asks the teacher "teacher, what does fuck mean?" All confused, the teacher replies 'UM, ER.....It means to serve". satisfied, the little girl goes back to her chair.
20 years later, she is at a family gathering where she was the host. She excitedly gets up and exclaims "I am now going to the kitchen and fuck the turkey!"
