kay, so i watched empire of the sun last night and dayum, christian bale can act his little cotton socks off. i was finding it hard at the beginning to get the image of him beefing those two prostitutes while looking at himself in the mirror in american psycho out of my head but that soon dissipated.

my favourite scene in that movie is where he is watching mr & mrs victor (btw, isn't miranda richardson just beautiful in this movie?) in bed with the bombing going on behind him. and he can see the husband turning his wife's head to kiss her and his hands on her body. and christian bale played it in such a way that it didn't come off as pervy or peeping, but as something good and pure and intimate in that shitty camp of his and a glimpse at his adulthood. hey, maybe it's just me.

Haley Joel Osment (?) - A.I., The Sixth Sense -- hell, he was even good in Pay it Forward.

Abigail Breslin (?) in Little Miss Sunshine; I don't remember if she was good in Signs, though.

Jesse Bradford in King of the Hill (Soderbergh movie).

The kid who played the young version of George Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life. He was great.

The kid who played the young version of Henry Hill in Goodfellas. He was great.

I haven't seen that film in a while. I didn't even realise it was him. Yikes!

I can't think of any good child thesps at the mo but I always remember how freaky that little blonde kid was in Pet Cemetary.

the boy in kes is disturbing :( i dunny like him. i think he talks about the film as a bad experience, too. i should have asked ken loach when i went to his last premiere :cool:

lolz i josh i josh. but surriously, i think it was a pretty harsh shoot. also he looks like he shouldn't be trusted. just.. shifty. he's probably a spy or something.
