View Full Version : Byker Grove (aha aha aha aha)
Nastee has inspired me to make a Byker Grove thread. For those not in the know (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byker_Grove)
Do we have any byker fans in the house?

aaahah. erm. i think byker grove is sorta a niche television product and you won't find many people who are fans.
i know freebasser is, though!
we were watching this horrible video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HQ7LCDLRwU) of a scene that not only involves ant and dec but the theme tune at the end! YUSSS! it was the only clip of the theme tune i could find on the entire interwebs.
i love the bit where ant/dec/who can tell them apart anyway is like "hold us debbie, just hold us!"
and camo says he is attracted to this accent!
and camo says he is attracted to this accent!
mmm teenage crushes (http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~rprice/debbie.htm)
although those photos are terrible!

Ha! Byker Grove was (y) (y)
So many memories of this fine programme.
PJ goes blind!
Spuggie befriending some homeless bloke in a shed
I liked the storyline of Nicola (Jill Halfpenny) and that lad - i think he was into animal rights or something?
Nicola's friend was damn ugly.
I recall fancying Gil

As I'm pretty old it was slightly after my time, i was more about Tucker and Gonch in Grange Hill. The blinding incident and Spuggy stick in the head though.

haha, you know, i would be really good at paintball, what with my espionage and hunting skillz aplenty, but PJ has scarred me for life. what a stupid shithead for not wearing goggles. it has to be said that ant and dec were not the best of actors, were they?
does anyone remember when barney was wrongly accused of mugging someone? He was thrown in prison, then escaped, beat up his mate frew in desperation and then was caught again?
It was weird because if I remember correctly he was never mentioned again after that. Weird!?!

I sat opposite the lad who played Barney on a train once... When I got off I was tempted to pass by the window and do the Byker jump for him. I didn't because he looked the type of chap who wouldn't think twice about striping me...

I liked the storyline when one of them joined some kind of cult. I thought it was terribly exciting and wanted to join one too.
