I'm serious.
Could there ever have been a more perfect album?
There is not a bad song on this album, the first of it's kind. This album is one of the most influential in history, thanks to its' successful crossing of the rap and rock worlds.
There is never a dull moment.
I LOVE THIS ALBUM!

I agree - it's a great album and I am way to excited to hear what their latest will be like. At this point however regardless of what type of music it is - I am ready for some new Beastie tunes. I hope that they decide to add some actual tour dates in America - not that I am dissing their benefit shows etc. world wide - but, it would be nice to see them tour the states.

A Canadian tour in the summer would be pretty awesome too.
Then the guys won't freeze their asses off.
I'm being considerate. :D
And yes, Licensed To Ill is pretty damn sick. (y)

I am listening to it from start to finish right now.
I love Slow Ride, The New Style, Paul Revere, No Sleep, Slow and Low.
A great album.

PB is killer, as well.
Shadarach, Egg Man, High Plains Drifter all are sick.
I also like the B-Boy Bouliasse.

Yeah - it does. Wonder what the new one will sound like? Summer can NOT get here fast enough for me - and I HATE HOT WEATHER - but, I want the New CD to get here.
Maybe they will see how many people want them to tour and play some shows here - they can even use my backyard for free.....

classic.....unadulterated hiphop......in the mid 90s The Source interviewed all the main players in the game and asked them about what they thought the top5 hiphop albums of all time were.......LTI made most lists......a couple mc's had it at #1......i remember daddy-o from stetsasonic had it as his #1......LTI sounds as fresh today as it did 21 years ago....a fete unto itself!!!

I couldn't agree more. This album is so pure, and I think sales will continue for years to come.

The only two skippable tracks are Girls and FFYR. Everything is pure gold!

agreed! and not because i dislike those songs, they may be in the top 4 or 5 most recongizable beastie tracks, and they're good in their own sense, i've just overlistened to em and want more of a hip hop bit of music when i toss on that cd

LTI is classic! its my favorite album of all time. My teen age years revovled around this album. I had some of my best years listening to this album. getting laid, drinking, clubbing, cruising. nothing but great memories!

LTI is classic. I love it. But Girls is stupid.
Hopefully at that Barcelona instrumental show, they do the instrumental to Fight for Your Right with a bit of flair. The crowd could sing it.

Man, what more can you say about this album? One of the definitive albums of the last 30 years. Incredible from start to finish. God, what an inspiration.

Licensed to Ill would not be Licensed to Ill without 'Girls'.
Yup.
And I personally prefer Paul's Boutique.

i'd just like to note that this is an album that has still stayed popular 20 years later, at school if i ever mention the beastie boys someone will start rapping to Paul Revere or Brass Monkey or Fight for Your Right or Girls & my school is filled of urban 14 & 15 year-old teenagers. so i think thats pretty dope that this album is capable of doing that 20 years later!

Yeah, this is still the album that got me into the band. Too bad they've all but rejected it lately, changing the rhymes up and not performing some of the songs outright. Its their call though. Personally, I see nothing offensive about Fight For Your Right, but I guess not performing it is more of a symbolic thing since that is seen as their song from that time period.

It's a fun album that I never get tired of listening to...but sometimes it irks me, because for SOOOOO many people, it's the end-all, be-all of the Beastie Boys, and that everything else they've done is written off as complete garbage because of it. I don't get that. But it's true. There are more people who know the words to "No Sleep 'Till Brooklyn" than "So What'cha Want?" even though "So What'cha Want?" is a pretty popular song too.
