i phoned this guy in norway this morning beacuase of an job ad that caught my attention yesterday

basically the deal was going on a norwegian vessel to the "westice" which i learned is the ice plains between iceland and greenland to shoot and collect plenty of seals for about two months, so they were looking for crew and people who could shoot and gut or just help out basically

the fella was nice but made me know they preffered workers with some previous boating experience but he took my number in case someone drops out or gets eaten by a mutant seal or similar

its hard work and the salary depends on how many selas you can catch basically

anyway ive been interested in working on a boat for a while so thats why i even bothered calling, see i need money for my australian world tour this fall

are the seals in danger of being extinct? not quite sure, but he told me they had this superviser controlling that businness was not sordid

anyway the atleast the seals get to spend their lives at the beautiful landscape which is southern greenland instead of being treated like waste in huge slaughterhouses and being executed on a bloody ramp with something that looks like a giant vacum cleaner

Also, I agree with Heiresse. You need to watch more Discovery Channel before you make any decisions. Shit gets pretty hairy out there and that's just for your own life's sake. Personally, myself being an animal lover, I couldn't see killing anything(MAYBE snakes) for a living, no matter how great the pay might be. I would feel that my integrity and ideals would be compromised to make a buck. It's kinda like saying "Yeah, I'm a professional puppy rapist. It's hard work, but check out my new X5."
